Thomas Delaney: 'I don't think I have anything to prove to the coach'

Thomas Delaney doesn't feel he needs to prove anything to BVB coach Lucien Favre.
Thomas Delaney says that Borussia Dortmund coach Lucien Favre is well aware of what he can add to the team.

After recovering from a knee injury, which has kept him out of action in 2020 so far, the Danish international feels ready to play when the Bundesliga resumes on May 16.

"I don't think I have anything to prove to the coach. He knows me and all the other players, so in that sense I don't really have to fight my way into the team," Delaney told Viaplay Sport Live.

"It's not my choice [if I'll play or not], but I'm available. On paper, there is nothing physical or anything else holding me back," he added.

The Danish midfielder has made nine appearances for Dortmund this season.
