Salihamidzic: Bayern want to have a German core
Bayern München sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic says it's part of the club's strategy to have a majority of German players.
Eight out of the 23 players in Germany's World Cup squad plays for Bayern München - and that's not a coincidence.

At today's official presentation of Leon Goretzka at Bayern München, sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic stressed that it's important for the Bavarian club to have a German core.
"Bayern have always represented the majority of the national team, and that has always been the strategy. We want the core to be German, because we want to have and represent German virtues here," he said at the press conference.
This summer, Bayern have brought in one new player from Germany in the form of Leon Goretzka while another German player - Serge Gnabry - has returned from loan at Hoffenheim.
