Dortmund put pressure on Bayern with a 2-0 win over Wolfsburg earlier on Saturday, but the German champions restored their four-point over their rivals as they thrashed Eintracht Frankfurt 5-2.
And Müller is hoping that Bayern can keep marching towards their eighth successive league title with a win over their rivals in Tuesday's 'Der Klassiker'.
"It was an absolutely crucial Bundesliga game for us. After Dortmund won their game, we wanted to follow suit," Müller said in an interview after Bayern's win over Frankfurt.
"We have set ourselves the goal of three victories within a week. We march, Dortmund march, and we can look forward to Tuesday. We want to bring the title to Munich, where it belongs," he added.
After facing Dortmund, Bayern take on Fortuna Düsseldorf at home on Saturday.
