Official: Vidal leaves Bayern to join Barcelona

Bayern München have announced that Arturo Vidal has made the switch to Barcelona.
Arturo Vidal has left Bayern München to join FC Barcelona with immediate effect, both clubs have announced. The Chilean international has signed a three-year contract.

"I would like to thank Arturo for three great years on behalf of FC Bayern," Bayern München CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge told fcbayern.com and added:

"We celebrated great success during this time, and Arturo had a significant share in that. He has always been at the forefront of important games, we have always been able to rely on him. "

Vidal, who joined Bayern München from Juventus in 2015, gives his best wishes to the Bavarian club and the fans.

"Thanks to FC Bayern and all fans. I really enjoyed the time in Munich. I would like to thank the club for giving me another chance to take on a new challenge in Barcelona," he said.

Vidal, 31, made 124 appearances for Bayern München with 22 goals and 18 assists to his name.
