Schalke 04 coach David Wagner has confirmed reports suggesting that Suat Serdar will be out until the end of the season with a knee injury, which is likely to keep him sidelined for three to four months.

Serdar's injury is a huge blow to a struggling Schalke side that is already missing key players such as Amine Harit and Omar Mascarell.

The fact that both Serdar (seven goals) and Harit (six goals) are out means that Wagner will now have to cope without his two most dangerous players.

"Suat and Amine are out, which means we have lost our two biggest goal threats. That would change things for any team," Wagner said ahead of Schalke's mid-week game against Fortuna Düsseldorf, according to WA.

"For us, it's a matter of finding solutions. That's my job," he added.

Wagner's Schalke team are without a win in their last nine games.
