Borussia Dortmund 0-1 Bayern München: Post-match reactions

By Rune Gjerulff   @runegjerulff

Joshua Kimmich scored a chip from the edge of the box to earn Bayern München a 1-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund at Signal Iduna Park. Here are the post-match reactions.
Hansi Flick.
Hansi Flick.
Lucien Favre, Borussia Dortmund coach:
"We didn't take enough shots at goal. You can't run and pass all the time. You also have to shoot from distance at times. We lacked more precision and acceleration with the ball as well as the right movement.

"It will be hard to win the title. We've got six games left, and we're seven points behind. We have to give our best and win the rest of the games" (Ruhr Nachrichten).

Mats Hummels, Borussia Dortmund:
"Sometimes games are decided by moments of genius. That was the case today.

"I think that all other teams are out of the title race. Now, it's all in the hands of Bayern. We just have to hope that they will drop points three times in six games. If there's any chance, we want to be there to take it" (Sky).

Emre Can, Borussia Dortmund:
"We have to be realistic. Bayern are now seven points clear of us. We need to look at ourselves and win the remaining games. If nothing happens, Bayern will win the title" (Sky).

Hansi Flick, Bayern München coach:
"I have often said that I'm not a person, who looks too much into the future. The here and now is crucial. We wanted to take a big step forward today, and we did. I was very pleased with the team's performance. They were very concentrated, very, very determined, wide awake and also very brave at times" (Sky).

Joshua Kimmich, Bayern München:
"We were told before the game that [Dortmund goalkeeper] Bürki often stands off his line. That was the best goal of my career - it was so important" (Bayern München, Twitter).

Manuel Neuer, Bayern München captain:
"A really important statement and a really important win for us!" (Bayern München, Twitter).
