Schalke 04's winless run in the Bundesliga extended to 10 games as 'The Royal Blues' were beaten 2-1 by relegation-threatened Fortuna Düsseldorf away from home on Wednesday.
After a goalless first half, it was actually Schalke who took the lead, when Weston McKennie headed the ball into the net after a free-kick in the beginning of the second half.
Fortuna were pushing for an equaliser and were rewarded for their efforts after 63 minutes as Rouwen Hennings won a header against Matija Nastasic to level the score.
Five minutes later, Kenan Karaman sent the hosts ahead, putting the ball over the line from close range.
Elsewhere on Wednesday evening, Augsburg and Paderborn shared the spoils in a goalless draw, Union Berlin and Mainz drew 1-1 while Christoph Baumgartner scored a brace as Hoffenheim beat FC Köln 3-1.
Earlier, RB Leipzig and Hertha BSC drew 2-2 at Red Bull Arena.
