Fantasy Bundesliga tips: Matchday 29

Here are our Fantasy Bundesliga tips for Matchday 29.
Goalkeepers:
Unfortunately, Markus Schubert (Schalke 04, 1M) and Andreas Luthe (Augsburg, 1.7M) play at the same time this week, so you won't be able to switch between them during the matchday. Update: Schalke 04 coach David Wagner has hinted that Alexander Nübel could replace Markus Schubert in goal against Werder Bremen on Saturday.

Alexander Schwolow (Freiburg, 8.2M) had a fantastic game against Eintracht Frankfurt on Matchday 28, picking up 17 points despite conceding three times in Tuesday's 3-3 draw. Schwolow's price tag is certainly steep considering he is a goalkeeper, but with the form he showed in mid-week, he deserves a mention ahead of his side's game against a Leverkusen side, who will look to bounce back from their shocking 1-4 loss to Wolfsburg.

Defenders:
With in-form Hertha taking on Augsburg at home, Peter Pekarik (Hertha BSC, 1.8M) is a solid, cheap option in defence. His teammate Maximilian Mittelstädt (Hertha BSC, 7.4M) could be a great differential pick if he comes in to replace Marvin Plattenhardt, who is doubtful after suffering a slight concussion against Leipzig in mid-week.

Kevin Mbabu (Wolfsburg, 9.2M) hasn't quite been able to maintain his value as a Fantasy asset after scoring a whopping 20 points on Matchday 26, but still looks like a solid pick as Wolfsburg will look to build on their impressive 4-1 win over Leverkusen in mid-week. Another option from Wolfsburg is Jerome Roussillon (Wolfsburg, 12.4M). The Frenchman has had an underwhelming season, but could offer serious differential value if he can rediscover the form that made him a very popular Fantasy Bundesliga pick in the 2018/19 campaign.

Ramy Bensebaini (Gladbach, 9.6M) should be back on your radar as he's set to come back into the Gladbach side that will face Union Berlin after he was rotated out of the starting eleven in mid-week.

A proven fantasy performer when on his game, Pavel Kaderabek (Hoffenheim, 11.1M) looks like an intriguing pick as Hoffenheim face Mainz.

Midfielders:
The fourth-highest scoring Fantasy midfielder in mid-week, Daichi Kamada (Frankfurt, 6.9M) took a lot of shots at goal against Freiburg and could have hit the back of the net more than once with a little more luck. If you're willing to pay big bucks for a Frankfurt player, Filip Kostic (Frankfurt, 18.5M) could be a very nice differential pick.

Considering he plays in offensive midfield for an in-form Hertha side, Vladimir Darida (Hertha BSC, 8M)'s €8 million price tag is more than reasonable. You could also look at his teammate Marko Grujic (Hertha BSC, 11.9M), who has picked up a total of 22 points in his last two games.

Christoph Baumgartner (Hoffenheim, 8.4M) will most likely be one of the most transferred in players this week after his outstanding performance against FC Köln in mid-week. With Hoffenheim set to face relegation-threatened Mainz and Fortuna Düsseldorf in their next two games, there could be more to come from the 20-year-old.

Scoring in two out of three games following the return of the Bundesliga, Renato Steffen (Wolfsburg, 9.5M) has been in excellent form recently, so he could be worth a punt as Wolfsburg take on a Frankfurt side that have been struggling defensively. If you have a little more to spend, you could bring in Maximilian Arnold (Wolfsburg, 15.7M), who scored and made two assists against Leverkusen on Tuesday.

Florian Neuhaus (Gladbach, 13.2M) had a solid game in mid-week and currently seems to be the best option if you're looking to pick a midfielder from Gladbach.

Having scored three times in three games after the return of the Bundesliga, Raphael Guerreiro (Dortmund, 14.6M) could prove good value once more as Dortmund travel to Paderborn.

Strikers:
Matheus Cunha (Hertha BSC, 9.3M) has been in excellent form since the return of the Bundesliga, scoring a total of 32 points in his last three games. Although he didn't get on the scoresheet against RB Leipzig last time out, the 21-year-old did create plenty of trouble against his former side and won a penalty in the second half.

André Silva (Frankfurt, 10.9M) was the highest-scoring striker of Matchday 28, raking up 19 points, and could easily have scored more than once had he been a little more ruthless in front of goal.

Patrick Schick (RB Leipzig, 11.3M) was gifted a goal by Hertha goalkeeper Rune Jarstein in mid-week and should be nailed on to start once more against FC Köln as Yussuf Poulsen remains sidelined.

Marcus Thuram (Gladbach, 14.3M) and Alassane Plea (Gladbach, 15.4M) will look to get back to scoring ways against Union Berlin after a disappointing mid-week.

With Erling Haaland set to miss out through injury, Thorgan Hazard (Dortmund, 19.3M) should start up top for Dortmund against Paderborn. His price tag is obviously very high, but owned by a modest four percent of Fantasy Bundesliga managers, he certainly offers excellent differential value this time around.
