Bayern München have no plans of sending Alexander Nübel out on loan for the 2020/21 season, says club boss Oliver Kahn.
It has been suggested that the 23-year-old could go out on loan once he joins Bayern from Schalke 04 in the summer as it could be difficult for him to find playing time behind Manuel Neuer, who recently extended his contract until 2023.
But Kahn, who joined the club's executive board in January, has now ruled out a loan move for Nübel.
"Nobody here is thinking about sending him out on loan at the moment. We are happy and satisfied that Alexander will be joining us. I can completely rule that out at this point in time," Kahn told Sky.
"He will come to FC Bayern, acclimatize bit by bit, and then we'll see. We should simply accept that a young man like Alexander Nübel has chosen this career path, and then we'll see how it develops step by step," he added.
Nübel has signed a contract until 2025 with Bayern.
