Bayern München president Herbert Hainer has confirmed that the German champions remain keen on signing Leroy Sané from Manchester City.
The Bavarians were heavily linked with the German international before he suffered a serious knee injury last summer, and he has remained on their radar ever since.
"Leroy Sané is a good player that every team would like to have. It has been known for a year now that we are interested. But Sané still has a year left of his contract with Manchester City," Hainer told BR and continued:
"Leroy Sané is certainly an interesting personality, because of his performances on the pitch. He's also a very marketable player, especially for the young target group.
"FC Bayern are an attractive an successful club. We don't need to talk about that. And Sané already said last year that he could imagine moving to Munich. We'll have to wait and see what happens in the coming weeks."
