Joshua Kimmich takes a stand

Following the footsteps of Jadon Sancho and others, Kimmich wants to use his status for good.
FC Bayern midfielder Joshua Kimmich has urged his teammates and others to join the protests in wake of the killing of American George Floyd while in police custody.

"As a football player you have a big power in this world. My opinion is we should feel this responsibility and say something like Sancho did," said Kimmich, according to goal.com.

"What we say to people outside gives us a big chance to make a statement. We discussed it and maybe we can do something. We maybe have to do something because we cannot give something like this a place."

The DFB has confirmed that there will be no sanctions on players for any protest from the last match day.
