Timo Werner has decided that he wants to join Chelsea from RB Leipzig this summer, according to Bild.
The 24-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool in the past few months, but Bild claims that he is now set to join Chelsea instead.
'The Blues' are understood to be prepared to trigger the €60 million release clause in Werner's contract, which expires on June 15.
According to Bild, Werner will be offered a five-year contract that will see him earn more than €10 million per year.
Werner's contract with RB Leipzig runs until 2023. The striker has made 40 appearances for 'Die Roten Bullen' this season, racking up 31 goals and 12 assists.
