Jadon Sancho has hit out at the German Football League (DFL) after he and Borussia Dortmund teammate Manuel Akanji have been fined for being pictured without a mask while getting a haircut at home.

The DFL sanctioned the players on Friday, stating that they 'had apparently violated general hygiene and infection protection standards' put in place amid the coronavirus outbreak.

Sancho, however, was less than impressed with the decision.

"Absolute joke DFL," Sancho wrote in a tweet, which has since been deleted from his profile.

According to Sport1, Sancho and Akanji have each been ordered to pay €10,000.
