Peter Bosz: 'Bayern deserved to win'

Bayern München deserved to win Saturday's game at BayArena, said Bayer Leverkusen coach Peter Bosz.
Bayer Leverkusen coach Peter Bosz admitted his side deserved to lose after Bayern München won 4-2 at BayArena in the Bundesliga on Saturday.

Bosz's troops opening the scoring after 10 minutes, but couldn't keep the German champions from taking their eighth successive Bundesliga win.

"We lost to a top team today. Even in the first 30 minutes, when we were still in it, I could feel that we were not in normal shape," Bosz told Sky after the game and added:

"That certainly had something to do with Bayern's quality, but also with ourselves. We made too many mistakes today. You can't afford that against Bayern. Bayern deserved to win today."

Bayern München coach Hansi Flick was pleased with his team's response to falling behind in the beginning of the game.

"Leverkusen are a very strong team, so it was important for us to make as few mistakes as possible, but we still made a few too many today. It took us a while to get into the game. Their opening goal was a little wake-up call. The way we bounced back showed the attitude and mentality of the team," said Flick.
