Official: Roman Bürki renews Dortmund deal

Borussia Dortmund have extended the contract of Roman Bürki.
Roman Bürki has signed a contract extension with Borussia Dortmund, the club have announced.

The goalkeeper has signed a two-year extension to his deal, which was due to expire next year, committing himself to the club until 2023.

"We are delighted that Roman Bürki, one of the most consistent goalkeepers in hte Bundesliga, will continue to be in goal for us. This means that an important position has been excellent filled in the long term. It speaks for Roman that he has already kept 12 clean sheets this season," said BVB sporting director Michael Zorc in a statement.

"I feel very much at home at Borussia Dortmund, and I feel the confidence of the people in charge, the coach and the other players," said Roman Bürki.

Bürki, 29, has played 206 games for Dortmund since his move from Freiburg in 2015.
