"We put in an absolute top performance, one of our best this season. We could have won even bigger and can be very satisfied," Hummels told Sky after the game and added:
"We were very active from the first minute. The atmosphere in the team was great, even before the game. We were active from the first minute, we played as complete footballers and did well against the ball."
With the win, Dortmund secured the second place behind newly-crowned champions Bayern München, but that's not enough to satisfy Erling Haaland, who scored both BVB's goals today.
"I'm not happy about becoming the runner-up, I want to win the championship. But we had to make the best of the situation after missing out on the title. We were really good today. We have to play like this in every game. We didn't do that this season, that's why we will finish second," the Norwegian striker said.
