Bayern München boss Hasan Salihamidzic has backed Lucas Hernandez amid rumors linking the defender with a summer exit.
Bayern München sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has played down speculation linking Lucas Hernandez with a move away from the club this summer.
Hernandez has struggled to nail down a starting spot following his €80 million move from Atletico Madrid last summer, but Salihamidzic remains confident that the French international will make his mark at Allianz Arena.
"Lucas hasn't had an easy start at FC Bayern, that's well known. We are convinced of his strengths and are fully behind him," Salihamidzic told Bild after Bayern's 3-1 victory over Freiburg on Saturday.
"I'm sure he will still be very valuable to our team," the sporting director added, indicating that Hernandez will not be going anywhere this summer.
