Borussia Dortmund want to tie Giovanni Reyna down to a contract until at least 2024 and preferably until 2025, according to Ruhr Nachrichten.
The 17-year-old is currently on a youth contract until 2021, and BVB are eager to tie him down to a long-term deal when he turns 18 in November.
"Our coach, Lucien Favre, and I agree that he has a big future ahead of him," said BVB sporting director Michael Zorc on Thursday, according to ESPN.
"He is still a minor, but we are in very positive talks to, once he turns in 18, keep him at the club for as long as possible," he added.
Reyna, who made his first-team debut for Dortmund in January, has made a total of 17 appearances for the club with one goals and two assists to his name.
