Union Berlin striker Sebastian Andersson has attracted interest from Schalke 04, Scottish champions Celtic as well as English sides Newcastle, Bournemouth, Leeds, West Bromwich and Brentford, according to Kicker.

The German fotball magazine claims that the 28-year-old has a release clause in the mid single-digit million euro range, which is up to 30 percent higher for clubs overseas.

Asked about Andersson, Union boss Oliver Ruhnert told Kicker that he would like the striker's future to be sorted out as soon as possible.

"If such a player were suddenly to leave the squad on October 1st, it would be difficult," he said.

"It would be good to have a certain level of squad security and planning as early as possible."

Andersson made 33 appearances for Union Berlin in the 2019/20 season, scoring 13 goals.
