Agent: Manchester United and Napoli also wanted Witsel

Axel Witsel's agent, Paul Stefani, says that Manchester United and Napoli wanted his client too.
Belgian international Axel Witsel recently completed a move to Borussia Dortmund, but the BVB weren't the only club who showed an interest in the central midfielder.

According to Witsel's agent, Paul Stefani, Manchester United and Napoli were both interested in his client who ultimately chose Dortmund.

"Manchester United wanted him, Napoli too. But I said to Axel: 'In Dortmund, you are number one, but at Manchester United or Napoli, you are one among many,'" Stefani told Het Laatste Nieuws and added:

"In the end, Axel finally said: 'Do me a favor and finish it as quickly as possible, because I like Dortmund very much.'"

Borussia Dortmund paid €20 million to sign Witsel who has signed a four-year contract.
