Report: Gregor Kobel turns down Hertha as he sets sights on Stuttgart move

Hoffenheim goalkeeper Gregor Kobel is understood to have turned down an offer from Hertha BSC. Apparently, he only wants to join Stuttgart.
Sky Germany reported earlier this week that Hertha BSC were close to agreeing a deal to sign Gregor Kobel from Hoffenheim.

However, according to Bild, the goalkeeper has turned down Hertha's offer as he only wants to join newly-promoted VfB Stuttgart where he spent last season on loan.

The interest is said to be mutual, but Stuttgart aren't willing to pay Kobel's €5 million release clause in light of the corona crisis and are therefore hoping to bring down the price.

Kobel played 31 games for Stuttgart in the 2. Bundesliga last season. His contract with Hoffenheim expires in 2021.
