Champions League quarter-final draw:
RB Leipzig to take on Atlético, Bayern could face Barcelona or Napoli

RB Leipzig have been drawn against Atlético Madrid in the quarter-finals of the Champions League. Should they eliminate Chelsea, Bayern München will lock horns with either FC Barcelona or Napoli.

Two German teams - Bayern München and RB Leipzig - were in the hat when the draw for the quarter-finals and semi-finals of the 2019/20 Champions League was conducted today.


RB Leipzig, who beat Tottenham to qualify for the quarter-finals before the tournament was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic, will be up against Atlético Madrid in the quarter-final.

After defeating Chelsea 3-0 in their round of 16 first-leg tie, Bayern München could face either FC Barcelona or Napoli if the German champions manage to finish the job in the return leg against 'The Blues', which will be played on 7 August or 8 August.

The quarter-finals will be played from 12 to 15 August while the semi-finals will take place on the 18 and 19 August. All these ties are single-leg fixtures and will be played in the Portuguese capital of Lisbon, as will the final on 23 August.

Quarter-finals:
Manchester City/Real Madrid vs. Juventus/Lyon
RB Leipzig vs. Atlético Madrid
FC Barcelona/Napoli vs. Bayern München/Chelsea
Atalanta vs. Paris Saint-Germain

Semi-finals:
Manchester City/Real Madrid or Juventus/Lyon vs. FC Barcelona/Napoli or Bayern München/Chelsea
RB Leipzig or Atlético Madrid vs. Atalanta or Paris Saint-Germain
