Report: Bayern demand at least €40 million for Thiago amid Liverpool links

Bayern München have put a price tag of at least €40 million on Thiago Alcantara amid reports that Liverpool are interested in the Spanish midfielder.
Liverpool are willing to pay €20 million for Thiago Alcantara, but Bayern München want at least €40 million for the Spanish midfielder, according to Sport Bild.

Earlier this month, FC Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge confirmed that Thiago appears to be keen on leaving the club with one year left on his contract.

Now, Sport Bild is reporting that the 29-year-old has put his house in Munich up for sale. However, according to the German sports magazine, no clubs have shown concrete interest in Thiago so far – not even Liverpool.

Should Thiago leave, Bayern wouldn't feel under pressure to sign a direct replacement for him. The duo of Leon Goretzka and Joshua Kimmich shone in midfield while the Spanish international was sidelined with a groin injury towards the end of the Bundesliga season, and the likes of Corentin Tolisso and Michael Cuisance are ready to come on from the bench if needed.
