Has Max Kruse signed for Union Berlin?

Max Kruse is being linked with Union Berlin.
Former Werder Bremen striker Max Kruse has been linked with a return to the Bundesliga after his contract with Turkish side Fenerbahce has been terminated.

Bild is now reporting that the 32-year-old is said to have signed a contract with Union Berlin.

Furthermore, the forward has reportedly been spotted in individual training at the German capital club.

"I think I'm affordable for almost every club in the Bundesliga. If I could choose, I'd like my future to be in the Bundesliga," Kruse told Sky at the end of June.

Before joining Fenerbahce on a free transfer in 2019, the 32-year-old spent three seasons at Werder Bremen. He has also played for Wolfsburg and Borussia Mönchengladbach among others.

Update: Union Berlin boss Oliver Ruhnert has reacted to the rumor, telling B.Z.:

"It's a total hoax. It won't happen today, tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. We don't want to commentate on any personal details."
