Michael Cuisance rejects interest from Marseille to stay at Bayern

Michael Cuisance has attracted interest from France, but he wants to stay and fight for his place at Bayern München.
Michael Cuisance is 'flattered' by reported interest from Olympique Marseille, but underlines he isn't interested in leaving Bayern München at the moment.

The 20-year-old, who has made nine Bundesliga appearances for Bayern following his move from Borussia Mönchengladbach last summer, told L'Equipe:

"I saw that the club was interested, and I'm flattered. Marseille is a beautiful story. They're a legendary club who have won the Champions League. The coach has done a good job by getting them back into the Champions League. I'm happy for them. But I want to continue to focus on my project at Bayern."

"Coming here was one of the best decisions of my career. I can stay at this club for many years. I'm learning from the best players in the world. It was difficult at the start because I didn't play, but I refused to give up," he added.

Asked if he believes it was a risk to come to Bayern from Gladbach, Cuisance responded:

"Why? I still have plenty of years ahead of me here. I'm made for this level, for this kind of club. There are big players here but I know that I can succeed."
