Official: Gladbach sign Hannes Wolf on loan from RB Leipzig

Hannes Wolf has joined Borussia Mönchen on a season-long loan deal from RB Leipzig.
Borussia Mönchengladbach have completed the signing of Hannes Wolf from RB Leipzig on a one-year loan deal with an option to buy.

The midfielder, who completed a €12 million switch from RB Salburg to RB Leipzig last summer, was limited to just five appearances in the 2019/20 season following his recovery from a fractured leg injury, which kept him sidelined until November.

At Borussia-Park, Wolf will reunite with Gladbach coach Marco Rose, whom he played under at RB Salzburg.

"Hannes is a versatile player, who already played under our coach Marco Rose in Salzburg and will improve our attacking options," said Gladbach sporting director Max Eberl in a statement and added:

"He missed a lot of football last season at RB Leipzig due to a long-term injury. We’re pleased that he's chosen to come here and we hope we will have a lot of success together."
