Modeste: 'Dortmund would be very interesting'
Anthony Modeste would like to return to the Bundesliga and says Borussia Dortmund is an interesting option.
Former FC Köln striker Anthony Modeste says he is eager to return to the Bundesliga after he had his contract with Chinese side Quanjin Tianjin terminated.
"A return to the Bundesliga would be just perfect," Modeste told Sport1 on Sunday evening.
"I would never say no to the Bundesliga. But I just have to wait now. There is currently no interest from Germany."
Apparently, Modeste is particularly hooked on joining Borussia Dortmund.
"Borussia Dortmund would be very interesting. I can very well imagine that," the 30-year-old told Sport1.
Dortmund have been looking for a new striker all summer, but still haven't found the right man. Maybe Modeste will catch the attention of the BVB with his come-and-get-me statement?
The 30-year-old played for Hoffenheim from 2013 until 2015 when he joined FC Köln. Last summer, he made the move to Tianjin Quanjian.
