Eintracht Frankfurt still waiting for payment

Eintracht Frankfurt is still due around €24 million from West Ham United’s €40 million purchase of Sebastien Haller before the 2019/20 season, according to Kicker.
Although Sebastien Haller said he would not leave for anything less than a Champions League side, he made the unexpected move to the Premier League as the new striker for West Ham United last summer.

The two sides had agreed to spread the €40 million fee over multiple payments due to the large sum. West Ham is now having issues supplying the most recent €6 million, which was due on May 15th. West Ham offered a new payment structure over a longer period of time but was declined by Frankfurt, who have now reached out to FIFA for resolution.

For Eintracht Frankfurt, planning for the upcoming season has proved difficult. Sports Director Fredi Bobic had recently declared:

"You can't go shopping without money."
