Bayern to kick off the new Bundesliga season against Schalke 04

Unless they reach the Champions League final, Bayern München will kick off the 2020/21 Bundesliga season against Schalke 04 on Friday, 18 September.
The German Football League (DFL) has revealed the Bundesliga fixture list for 2020/21 season.

Reigning champions Bayern München are expected to kick off the new season against Schalke 04 on Friday, 18 September.

However, if Bayern reach the final of the 2019/20 Champions League on 23 August, their game against Schalke will be moved to Monday, 21 September, due to the preparation time between the two competitions.

Should this happen, Borussia Dortmund and Borussia Mönchengladbach will open the new Bundesliga season on 18 September instead.
