Kingsley Coman ruled out of Bayern's second-leg clash with Chelsea

Kingsley Coman will not be available when Bayern München face Chelsea in the Champions League on Saturday.
Bayern München coach Hansi Flick has confirmed that Kingsley Coman will not be available for the club's Champions League round of 16 second-leg clash with Chelsea on Saturday.

Ivan Perisic or Philippe Coutinho could come in to replace the French winger, who is sidelined with muscular problems. Benjamin Pavard is out as well due to an ankle injury, but otherwise Flick has a full squad available.

"Kingsley is not available. In Ivan [Perisic] and Philippe [Coutinho], we have two alternatives, who could replace him," Flick told reporters on Friday.

After beating Chelsea 3-0 in the first leg away from home before the Champions League was suspended due to the coronavirus outbreak, Bayern will be looking to finish the job on Saturday. Asked about the task that awaits his team, Flick said:

"We have the necessary respect and have seen how Chelsea have played since the restart. It's important to have this respect, but also to be confident going into the game and show our own strengths."
