Bayern not getting carried away by Barcelona rout

The German champions are aware that they still need to put in plenty of hard work to progress further in the Champions League after their 8-2 thrashing of FC Barcelona in Saturday's quarter-final.
Bayern München won't 'get carried away' by their 8-2 victory over FC Barcelona at the quarter-finals stage of the Champions League.

Speaking after the win, Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic insisted the German champions will keep their feet on the ground ahead of next week's semi-final against either Manchester City or Olympique Lyon.

"We started well, even with the silly equaliser. The first half was crazy, it felt like every shot was a goal. It's special to beat a team like Barcelona like that, but we're not going to get carried away by the scoreline; we're really happy, but we want more," Salihamidzic told UEFA.com.

Bayern coach Hansi Flick said:

"We knew that if we put them under pressure, we would get chances. We have such quality and intensity in this team, now we need to recharge and focus on the next game, where we start again from zero."
