Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge hails 'incomparable' Thomas Müller

Thomas Müller 'is playing at his highest level again," says Bayern chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
Bayern München CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge believes Thomas Müller is playing as well as ever before.

After a difficult period, which saw Müller drop to Bayern's bench and lose his spot in the German national team, the 30-year-old has proven himself once again since Hansi Flick was appointed Bayern coach in November.

"Thomas Müller has been the biggest winner since Hansi Flick took over. It's the second or third time he has blossomed. Thomas is incomparable, and he has proven that again," Rummenigge told Kicker and added:

"Thomas is playing at his highest level again, just like in 2010 or 2014 when he performed incredibly well with the national team. He is showing that quality again."

Rummenigge doesn't want to urge Germany coach Joachim Löw to recall Müller, though.

"He will bring Thomas back if he thinks it's necessary. But we will not motivate or push him to do so," said the Bayern CEO.

Müller and Bayern take on Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final on Sunday. The German forward has scored 14 goals and made 26 assists in 49 games this season.
