Leeds United have indeed shown interest in Nicolas Gonzalez, according to Stuttgart boss Sven Mislintat. "But it never turned out to be interesting for Nico or for us," he says.

VfB Stuttgart sporting director Sven Mislintat has played down reports linking Nicolas Gonzalez with a move to Leeds United.
The Stuttgart striker is understood to have attracted interest from the likes of Borussia Dortmund and Inter as well, but Mislintat doesn't anticipate that Stuttgart's demands will be met at this point.
"There were a lot of hot rumors at the beginning," Mislintat said in an interview with Kicker.
With Leeds, he added, "it even became very concrete."
"There were serious talks and advances. But it never turned out to be interesting for Nico or for us."
"Let's be honest: If someone comes on October 1st and puts a fabulous sum of €30 million or more on the table for Nico or another player, who would refuse something like that? We certainly wouldn't. But I don't see it coming either."
Gonzalez made 27 appearances in the 2. Bundesliga last season, scoring 14 goals. His contract with Stuttgart expires in 2023.
