Karl-Heinz Rummenigge 'can't imagine' David Alaba leaving Bayern

Bayern München chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge remains optimistic that David Alaba will sign a contract extension.
FC Bayern München CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge says he can't see David Alaba leaving the club this summer.

Alaba, who has just one year left on his current contract, has been stalling on a new deal, but Rummenigge remains confident the Austrian international will stay.

"I really can't imagine that David would want to leave FC Bayern. We are very interested in him staying, and I think he feels comfortable at FC Bayern as well," Rummenigge told Bild.

"We had another conversation with his agent in Portugal, and it basically went well."

After Bayern's Champions League final victory over Paris Saint-Germain, Alaba was "really high-spirited, and I have rarely seen someone as happy as he was," said Rummenigge.
