Liverpool still haven't contacted Bayern about Thiago, claims Karl-Heinz Rummenigge

Bayern München have had no contact with Liverpool about Thiago Alcantara yet, claims club CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
Bayern München midfielder Thiago Alcantara has been touted for a move to Liverpool for a while.

However, according to FC Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, 'The Reds' are yet to make an approach for the Spanish international.

"We have read a lot about Liverpool, but they haven't contacted us yet," the Bayern chief told Bild.

Rummenigge has previously admitted that he expects Thiago to leave the club this summer, and it doesn't seem like the 29-year-old has changed his mind.

"Yesterday, we had an event with our employees, and his whole family were there. They walked around [in the Allianz Arena] in great nostalgia, I would almost say. It looked very much like he had decided to say goodbye," he said.

Thiago's contract with Bayern expires next summer.
