The 24-year-old is back in the national team for the first time since his injury, and speaking ahead of Germany's UEFA Nations League clashes with Spain and Switzerland this week, he told DFB.de:
"I'm doing very, very well. I feel I'm at 80 percent. Of course, I have to play some games and find a bit of rhythm to get fully up to speed. I'm really looking forward to the two upcoming games."
Sané, who joined Bayern München from Manchester City in July, can look back on a year of ups and downs.
"First, I suffered a cruciate ligament rupture, then came the corona situation and finally the switch to Bayern München. It was a tough year, but a very, very good one, because I learned a lot and got to know myself better," said the winger.
