How Germany could line up against Spain

We take a look at Germany's predicted line-up to face Spain.
Germany will play their first game in 2020 when they take on Spain in the UEFA Nations League at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Stuttgart on Thursday.

As announced last week, 'Die Mannschaft' will be without Manuel Neuer, Joshua Kimmich, Serge Gnabry, Leon Goretzka, Lukas Klostermann and Marcel Halstenberg, who will all be rested after featuring in the Champions League mini-tournament in Lisbon.

With Neuer rested and Marc-André ter Stegen ruled out with a knee injury, Eintracht Frankfurt's Kevin Trapp will be given a rare start in goal, Germany coach Joachim Löw announced at the pre-match press conference on Wednesday, at which he also revealed that Atalanta's Robin Gosens will be handed his full international debut.

Niklas Süle and Leroy Sané are back in the squad after long-term injuries and are both set to start as well. Gladbach midfielder Florian Neuhaus is expected to be among the substitutes and could come on to make his first senior international appearance.

Here's how Germany's starting eleven could look:

Kevin Trapp

Emre Can
Niklas Süle
Antonio Rüdiger

Thilo Kehrer
Ilkay Gündogan
Toni Kroos
Robin Gosens

Julian Draxler
Timo Werner
Leroy Sané

Spain's predicted line-up: Kepa - Carvajal, Llorente, Ramos, Gaya - Fabian, Busquets, Thiago - Ferran Torres, Rodrigo, Olmo.
