Ilkay Gündogan on target as Germany draw again

Ilkay Gündogan's opener was cancelled out by Silvan Widmer's second-half goal as Germany drew 1-1 with Switzerland on Sunday.
Germany drew their second match this week as they shared the spoils with Switzerland in the UEFA Nations League at St. Jakob-Park in Basel on Sunday.

'Die Mannschaft', who drew 1-1 with Spain on Thursday, opened the scoring in the 14th minute as Ilkay Gündogan side-footed the ball into the net from the edge of the box.

But Switzerland, who had hit the post through Haris Seferovic shortly before the break, deservedly found the equaliser just shy of the hour mark when Silvan Widmer's shot went past Bernd Leno, who was handed a rare start by Germany coach Joachim Löw.

The German players are now set to return to their respective clubs before the DFB-Pokal kicks off in the coming weekend.
