Report: Bielefeld make improved offer for Paderborn midfielder Sebastian Vasiliadis

Sebastian Vasiliadis could stay in the Bundesliga after being relegated with SC Paderborn last season, with Kicker claiming that Arminia Bielefeld are keen on signing the midfielder.
Arminia Bielefeld remain hopeful of securing the signing of Sebastian Vasiliadis from SC Paderborn, according to Kicker.

The newly-promoted Bundesliga side are understood to have made an improved offer to sign the central midfielder.

Vasiliadis, 22, has one year left on his deal with Paderborn, who were relegated from Germany's top-flight last season.

Bielefeld have already brought in seven new players for the new season. Christian Gebauer, Jacob Barrett Laursen, Nathan de Medina, Noel Niemann and Mike van der Hoorn have all joined as free agents while Ritsu Doan (PSV) and Sergio Cordova (Augsburg) have arrived on loan.

The club's sporting director, Samir Arabi, won't rule out making further signings, telling Kicker:

"We still have a few more options."
