Official: Renato Steffen extends Wolfsburg deal

VfL Wolfsburg's Renato Steffen has signed a contract extension, keeping him at the club until 2023.
Renato Steffen has put pen to paper on a new contract with VfL Wolfsburg, the club have announced.

The 28-year-old's deal was due to expire in 2021, but he has now signed a contract extension until 2023.

"I'm very pleased that we were able to agree on a contract extension before the start of the new season. Now I can fully concentrate on the sporting tasks, because I still have a lot of plans with VfL, and I want to do my part to help us achieve our goals, said Steffen.

"I love living here in Wolfsburg, and my family feels at home here as well. Therefore, we are very much looking forward to the coming years."

The Swiss international has netted 11 times and set up seven goals in 90 appearances for 'Die Wölfe'.
