Ante Rebic joins AC Milan permanently from Frankfurt

Eintracht Frankfurt have said goodbye to Ante Rebic as the Croatian international's loan at AC Milan has been made permanent.
Eintracht Frankfurt have announced the departure of Ante Rebic, who has joined AC Milan permanently.

Rebic made the move to Milan on a two-year loan deal last summer and has now signed a permanent deal with the Serie A side.

"Ante will live long in the memory of our fans, and not only for his outstanding performance in the final of the 2018 DFB Cup," said Eintracht Frankfurt board member Fredi Bobix in a statement.

"His displays over this past year have shown that he can establish himself at one of the biggest teams in the world and make the most of the huge amount of potential he has. We agreed to this transfer because we don’t want to stand in his way. We wish Ante all the best for the future. He’ll always be welcome in Frankfurt," he added.

The 26-year-old scored 25 goals and made 12 assists in 100 appearances for Frankfurt.
