SC Freiburg have signed Florian Müller on loan from Mainz.
Florian Müller has joined SC Freiburg on a season-long loan deal from Mainz.
Freiburg goalkeeper Mark Flekken recently suffered an injury that could keep him out for months, and the club have now reacted by bringing in Müller.
The 22-year-old has been allowed to leave Mainz on loan after falling behind Robin Zentner in the pecking order.
"Sometimes things happen very quickly in football," said Müller.
"I immediately had the feeling that a year in Freiburg was a good idea. I am looking forward to meeting my new teammates and to the challenges here."
