Stuttgart boss: 'Bayern are miles ahead of everyone else'

VfB Stuttgart sporting director Michael Reschke says that no other Bundesliga club will be able to compete with Bayern München unless a play-off mode is introduced.
Bayern München have won the Bundesliga the last six seasons in a row. And according to VfB Stuttgart sporting director Michael Reschke, the Bavarians will continue to be superior unless a knockout format is introduced.

"Bayern are miles ahead of everyone else. No other club can make enough top decisions to match the economically superior and strategically well managed Bayern," Reschke said in an interview with Die Welt and added:

"If at some point they feel like celebrating a championship properly, because it should be exciting in the end, it's only possible if a play-off mode is introduced. Until then, they will continue to be dominant and buy the best players of the league. I'm not a dreamer, but a realist."

Reschke was hired as Stuttgart's sporting director in August 2017, coming from a technical director role at Bayern München.
