Henrichs nearing Monaco move

Bayer Leverkusen coach Heiko Herrlich has confirmed that Benjamin Henrichs has been given permission to negotiate with AS Monaco.
Benjamin Henrichs is apparently set to leave Bayer Leverkusen to join AS Monaco. According to Bild, a transfer fee of around €20 million is currently being discussed.

The right-back wasn't included in Leverkusens DFB-Pokal squad for the match against Pforzheim yesterday, and after the game, coach Heiko Herrlich said that he has been given permission to negotiate with Monaco.

"That's right. He has asked me to be released to go to Monaco, but I don't know the exact background," Herrlich said according to Sport1.

Henrichs, 21, started just 11 Bundesliga matches for Leverkusen last season, and Mitchell Weiser, who has joined the club from Hertha BSC, looks set to be the first-choice right-back at the BayArena this season.
