Report: Hertha battling Rennes to sign Jeff-Reine Adelaide from Lyon

Apparently, Hertha BSC are in still the race to sign Olympique Lyon midfielder Jeff Reine-Adelaide.
Hertha BSC are battling Rennes for the signing of Jeff Reine-Adelaide from Olympique Lyon, according to Bild and L'Equipe.

At one point, it looked like Rennes had won the race for Reine-Adelaide, but it appears Hertha haven't given up hope of acquiring the 22-year-old.

Both Hertha and Rennes are understood to have offered €25 million for the central midfielder, but Lyon are holding out for €30 million.

According to Bild, Lyon would prefer selling him to Hertha, because they aren't too keen on strengthening a direct competitor.

Meanwhile, L'Equipe claims that the player is in favor of joining Rennes, because he would prefer to stay in France.
