Hertha boss confirms interest in Mario Götze
Hertha BSC have shown interest in Mario Götze, confirms sporting director Arne Friedrich.
Hertha BSC sporting director Arne Friedrich admits that the German capital club have been looking into the possibility of signing Mario Götze, who is currently available on a free transfer.
"We definitely spend a lot of time dealing with players - and Mario is definitely a name we've been dealing with," Friedrich told DAZN.
"I don't want to say more about this. Let's just wait and see.
"We are searching, but we still have time and a few irons in the fire."
Hertha were already linked with Götze in January while he was still playing for Borussia Dortmund.
