Could Davy Klaassen leave Werder after all?

Ajax have reportedly made their interest in Werder Bremen midfielder Davy Klaassen known.
Back in July, Davy Klaassen's agent, Søren Lerby, dismissed reports linking his client with a return to Ajax, telling Deichstube that the 27-year-old midfielder would 'definitely stay' at Werder Bremen.

However, speculation over Klaassen's future has not gone away and was further fueled when the Dutch midfielder admitted earlier this month that 'in football, you never know what will happen'.

In any case, Ajax haven't given up hope that they can bring Klaassen back to Amsterdam, according to Dutch newspaper Telegraaf, who claims that the Eredivisie side have officially made their interest known.

They are yet to make an official offer, but that could change before the transfer window slams shut on October 5.

Selling Klaassen doesn't seem entirely out of the question for cash-stripped Werder, especially not since they haven't been able to cash in on Milot Rashica yet.
