Report:
Bremen reject opening Ajax offer for Klaassen as "unacceptable"

Ajax Amsterdam and SV Werder Bremen have some ways to go one day after negotiations for the transfer of 27-year-old midfielder Davy Klaassen were re-opened.

Initia reports suggested that the tender would climb into the double-digit million range with bonus payments, but Kicker now says the comprehensive package amounted to less than €10 million.
This first overture was rejected as "unacceptable" by the Hanseaten, who themselves paid €13.5 million to bring Klaassen in from Everton in the summer of 2018.
Ajax will clearly have to make a significantly larger bid to simply ensure that talks are not cut off outright.
