Bayern München are building a German core

Since Uli Hoeneß' return to Bayern München in November 2016, the club has increasingly brought in German players.
"The main language in the dressing room should be German again or there will be small divisions," Bayern München boss Uli Hoeneß told Sport Bild in the beginning of 2017, about a month after he was re-elected president and returned to the club.

"If you want to integrate at a club, you will have to learn the language. If you don't learn the language, that's a signal that you are only using the club as a stepping stone. Not enough importance has been given to this recently," he added.

Since then, it is worth noticing the amount of German players that the club has brought in.

Last summer, Bayern signed three German players – Niklas Süle, Sebastian Rudy and Serge Gnabry (currently on loan at Hoffenheim) – and this month, the Bavarian giant has signed another two. Sandro Wagner has already made the switch to Säbener Strasse while it has been announced that Leon Goretzka will join Bayern in the summer.

In comparison, Bayern signed six German players – Mario Götze, Jan Kirchhoff, Joshua Kimmich, Sven Ulreich, Sebastian Rode and Sinan Kurt – during Pep Guardiola's 3-year tenure at the club.

However, with the arrival of Süle, Rudy, Gnabry, Wagner and Goretzka, it seems Hoeneß wants to build a German core for the future at Bayern.
