Bayern München coach Hansi Flick started five of his new signings in Thursday's DFB-Pokal clash against Düren as Alex Nübel, Bouna Sarr, Marc Roca, Douglas Costa and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting came into the line-up.

Speaking after the game, which saw Bayern win 3-0 thanks to a brace from Choupo-Moting and a penalty goal from Thomas Müller, Flick lauded his new players.

"They have shown what they can do. The first goal was created nicely by three of our newcomers. I'm satisfied with them so far. Now we have to make sure that they reach 100 percent step by step. They are not all there yet. We have shown everyone how we like to play. Accordingly, this is a situation they first have to get used to and implement. They still need time, and they will get that," Flick told reporters.

Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting "showed that he can score goals and win penalties," added the Bayern coach.

"Douglas Costa is not yet at 100 percent, but what he does with the ball is promising. Bouna Sarr is a different kind of full-back. He also performed well today.

"Marc Roca needs a bit more time to really get into the position. He still needs to adjust to the way we play. Nübel impressed with his charisma, but had little to do."

Flick also provided an update on Leroy Sané, who is working on his recovery from a knee injury.

"I can't say exactly when he will return," Flick said about the 24-year-old winger, adding that Bayern have "a clear time plan" for the 24-year-old winger.

"It looks very good, he's doing well in training," added the Bayern coach.

"But we won't take this lightly and will take our time."
